Y con esa linea, la ex de Federline reclama su lugar como una de las mas interesantes figuras del pop de todos los tiempos. No importa si la amas, la odias, te da lastima o te causa disgusto, tu estabas esperando con ansias ver si ella podia lograrlo. ¿Spears aun tenia mente para hacer a un lado toda la prensa negativa y su dañada reputacion y sacar nueva musica que haria que el mundo se fije en su carrera nuevamente?

Con el tema producido por Danja (piensen en “Sexy Back” y “The Way I Are” sin la molesta voz de Timbaland), Britney regresa a la escena musical para mandarnos la continuacion de “Toxic”. “Gimme More” golpea con un ritmo que te da la bienvenida a su ambiente techno y sadomasoquista mientras Spears te incita a unas sesiones de sexo adictivas. “Las camaras estan fotografiando mientras estamos bailando indecentemente/Ellos siguen mirando“, Spears canta. Estando consiente de que todo lo que haga sera colgado en la Internet en tiempo record, a ella parece ya no importarle mas, poniendo a su amante en sus brazos para atraparlo en una relacion publica/no publica, mientras la audiencia sigue gritanto (“Parece que todos dicen/Dame mas”).

Mientras el atmosferico sonido electronico de Danja suena a traves del hipnotizante pop espacial, Britney deja ir todas sus inhibiciones (si aun le quedaban algunas), siguiendo con orsgasmicos gemidos y suspiros de “No puedo contralarme” llegando al limite desde debajo del ritmo. Si, sus zonas intimas no seran tan provocativas despues de dos hijos y millones de fotografias de TMZ, pero la fuerza sexual de “Gimme More” es demasiada sucia como para no caer victima suya. Dejen a Fergie, denle un descanso a Scherzinger, tirenle la toalla a Madonna: La “bitch” esta de regreso y con un monstruoso album dance como este, todos somos vulnerables a ser “sus esclavos” nuevamente.

Britney Spears “Gimme More”

“It’s Britney bitch!”

And with that one line, the former Miss Federline reclaims her perch as one of the most interesting pop figures of all time. Whether you love her, hate her, pity her or are utterly disgusted by her, you were waiting with bated breath to see if she could actually pull it off. Did Spears still have the mind to bust through all the negative press and tarnished reputation and drop some music that would get folks into her career again?

Handheld by a state-of-the-art Danja-produced track (think “Sexy Back” and “The Way I Are” minus Timbaland’s annoying voice), Britney re-enters the scene ready to deliver a “Toxic” sequel. “Gimme More” thumps with a sinister synth edge that welcomes you into her techno S&M chamber/fishbowl, Spears enticing you into a little voyeuristic sex session. “Cameras are flashing while we’re dirty dancing/ They keep watching,” she sings, finally adjusting to the unwarranted reality show her life has been and will probably always be. Aware that her every action will be peeped and posted all over the Internet in record time, she’s given up on caring anymore, pulling her lover into her arms to engage in their own private/ not private affairs, getting off by the audience’s cheering on (”Feels like the crowd is saying/ Gimme more”).

While Danja’s atmospheric electro noise stutters it’s way through a hypnotizing space-pop vortex, Britney lets all her inhibitions go (if she had any left), pulling a Donna Summers with orgasmic moans and sighs of “I just can’t control myself” peaking from beneath the beat. Yeah, her private parts may not be as appealing two kids and a million TMZ snapshots later, but “Gimme More”’s sex-craved thrust is too nasty not to fall victim to. Move over Fergie, give it a rest Scherzinger, throw in the towel Madonna: The “bitch” is back and with a monster dance record like this in her grasp, we’re all vulnerable to be “slaves 4 her” again.
