IT’S tempting to compare Swedish singer Robyn with Britney Spears.
Like Britney, Robyn emerged in the late Nineties, scoring a hit with Show Me Love.
And both were teen stars who owed their initial success to Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, writer of Britney’s Baby One More Time and co-writer of Robyn’s breakthrough song.
They even pair up on Britney’s latest single Piece Of Me, with Robyn on backing vocals.

But the comparison doesn’t sit well with Robyn.
“We are different,” she says. “Success did come to me very young but I managed to take time off, which I think was a very good move.”
As Britney’s catastrophic fall from grace continued, Robyn enjoyed a career resurgence over the past year. The massive trance-pop of With Every Heartbeat was one of the songs of 2007, followed by Top 20 album Robyn.
